Jarmany Hill, Glastonbury
Designed in collaboration with Andrews Bowen this scheme involved the redevelopment of a redundant farm close to Glastonbury.
The intention is to provide first class indoor and outdoor training facilities for show jumping with the scheme including a 60m x 30m indoor arena with integral groom’s accommodation, stable yard office and first floor spectator viewing areas. The remainder of the site will provide 28no. stables together with tack, feed, wash boxes etc. Externally it is proposed to construct a 70m x 40m outdoor arena, grass arena and turn out paddocks.
Design of the new facilities has been carefully considered to reduce visual impact reflecting the high landscape value associated with the site.
